About The Project
This large 70” diameter dining table features rare ebony wood veneer, which compliments the walls and ceiling of the client’s formal dining room. The theme of the room is a 1950’s dining establishment.
The table is made from a plywood core with a solid walnut rim and ebony face veneer. The walnut rim was stained to match the color of the ebony. The center of the table is a lazy susan which makes for easy sharing of dinner accompaniments. A lead screw in the bottom of the table raises the lazy susan out of the table for easy cleaning in the event of a beverage or food spill.
The table is supported on a series of five curved 3-segment legs. Like the top, the legs are veneered in ebony. A center black sprocket connects the legs at the apex of their arches.
