Wood and Leg Layout
The tables are made from Genuine Mahogany, also known as Honduras Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla). There are many species of wood named “mahogany”, but Honduras Mahogany ranks among the finest cabinetry wood in the world.
Two 10’ 2 ½” planks were used.The leg design was transferred from the full size drawings to thin cardboard using old school carbon paper. Templates were then cut out and used to transfer the leg design onto the wood.
